All measurements in inches, taken on the garment laid flat — chest is half the circumference, so double it to compare against your own chest measurement. Body length runs from the high point of the shoulder to the hem at the back. Tee sleeve is measured from the centre back neck, over the shoulder, to the sleeve hem; hoodie sleeve from the centre of the neck down.
Care. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Non-chlorine bleach only when needed. Tumble dry medium for tees, low for hoodies. Do not iron the print.
Between sizes? These are a classic cut, not slim — most people take their normal size. Size up if you like room, or if you are buying a hoodie to layer.
Both are full-colour illustrations of the Nyholm windmill as it actually stands: the four-storey timber tower, the fan and tail up top, the shingled building at its base with the little door and the stair rail, EDGEWOOD-NYHOLM across the top on a deep red banner. Winter puts it under snow, with the firs weighed down and a cold white sky behind. Summer gives you green grass, leafy firs and blue sky with cloud. Fall turns the larches gold and rust, dries the grass off and drops a pale autumn sky behind it. Pick the season above and the photo follows.
These are printed direct to garment rather than screen printed. It is the only way to hold that much detail and that many colours — the shingles, the snow on the roofline, the windmill vanes — without flattening the whole thing out.
Peter Nyholm put the windmill up in 1902, on forty acres he had cleared himself, having come over from Denmark in 1888. Four storeys: a several-hundred-gallon tank on the top floor that piped water to the houses around it, and a workshop on the second where he did his wood carving. It pumped water for seventy-eight years.
That it is still standing at all is the unlikely part. When it finally stopped in 1980 it was facing demolition, so Don Nelson got a crew of volunteers together and moved the whole four-storey thing down Meridian instead, on a Saturday morning in August, with the town out watching. In May 2024 the City of Edgewood bought it outright — for $125, a price picked deliberately to match what Nyholm paid Sears for it in 1902.
