All measurements in inches, taken on the garment laid flat — chest is half the circumference, so double it to compare against your own chest measurement. Body length runs from the high point of the shoulder to the hem at the back. Tee sleeve is measured from the centre back neck, over the shoulder, to the sleeve hem; hoodie sleeve from the centre of the neck down.
Care. Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Non-chlorine bleach only when needed. Tumble dry medium for tees, low for hoodies. Do not iron the print.
Between sizes? These are a classic cut, not slim — most people take their normal size. Size up if you like room, or if you are buying a hoodie to layer.
It went up as The Coffee Pot Restaurant. A Tacoma veterinarian named Dr. Otis Button bought the lot for ten dollars in 1929 and put up a building shaped like the thing it sold — roughly twenty-five feet tall, twenty-eight feet across — to catch drivers coming into town on old Highway 99. It shared that strip with a castle-shaped toy store and a service station whose restrooms were shaped like flower pots. Interstate 5 took the traffic away in 1967. The coffee pot is one of the last ones left standing.
Bob and Lylabell Radonich bought it in 1955 and renamed it after the Ink Spots song "Java Jive." The Ventures played there as a house band for forty dollars a night before they were the Ventures. Two monkeys named Java and Jive lived in an enclosure off the Jungle Room from 1978 to 1986. Legend has it Nirvana got about ten minutes into a set before Bob pulled the plug — even the federal paperwork hedges that one. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
